Threshold doesn't work in pauper and those creatures are just bad 90% of the time. Mandrills, gurmag and mangler - sure, those are good cards and mother is at least good mana sink blocker. Or if you want selfmill creature, there is always good old ] for you. Not to mention it is much easier to cast and gives you colour you need.
Just use ] for literally the same effect, but better - doesn't timewalk you and gives you choice what goes to GY. Glowspore shaman is literally worthless - it would be still bad as 3/1 with mill 3, but i addition to this, it wastes your next draw. Sorry, but you are missing a lot about how those cards work.
